You have probably experienced this many times, you spend a few hours at the driving range smashing balls with the same club to perfect your swing, distance and accuracy, you go to the course brimming with confidence only to find almost every shot is fat, thin, sliced or shanked. What happened between a great day at the range and a terrible follow up on the course?

If you play golf I guess you kinda think you know the rules of golf, probably picked up from watching TV or playing with more experienced friends. But what exactly can you do and what is forbidden when playing a hazard for example? To find out more you can refer to the Royal and Ancient rules of golf?

So you are improving your game and your swing is looking good but you just can’t get your score down. A much ignored factor in the game of golf is course management, or playing safe to avoid those ‘blow-out’ holes where you could easily go to 10 strokes. Leave aggressive play for the pros, they have all the time in the world to practice those awkward shots to get out of trouble.

If you read your putts well but can't seem to roll the ball where you are aiming there are some things you can do to correct this, or at least get you putting in a straight line
You’ve probably noticed that the pros usually have some markings on their golf ball when setting up for a putt right? Well it’s easy to do the same, just draw a straight line around the equator of your golf ball with a permanent marker
